
August-September Blog Goals
Welcome to my blog site. I'm currently in the process of changing jobs, and that has been a pain! I will not be able to provide updates on my container garden for now because those plants have been left behind to flourish at the old apartment. That's really the thing I'm most bumped out about since I would have had viable harvests by the End of September or early October at the latest. But I have plans to restart by the end of August!
However, the pivot will be to start finding exciting ways to challenge myself. If you never push yourself to the next level, how will you find limits you didn't know you had? It's in the pressure and heat of a struggle or setback that we rise above that problem. When you work hard to fortify your mind, body, and spirit, there's absolutely NO LIMIT to the things you can achieve. For now, I crave a new normal-- a routine or habit to form. I have been doing LOTS of reading, and I have been digesting lots of digital content. That's the starting ground for seeing what's already being done and catching specific trends.
I'm in the refining stages of where I want to see this blog site grow, and I intend on turning up the gas as we speed into the summer (pun fully intended 😏).

-Recipes are being developed this week, and I will post videos on my TikTok and YouTube Platforms at the end of August! (Teaser has been uploaded on Youtube link is below 😎)
-More refining to the website, including some rewriting of certain things since some people want to be butt-hurt like they should be getting a Nobel Peace prize when they weren't always there in a positive light at all...
-More educational content coming up, including my meat buyers guide (sorry old work crew, this would be juicy huddle talk, literally 🤤). This guide will feature all the meats, including the nasty sh*t some of y'all may not like, such as offal if ya don't know what that is think of Rocky Mountain Oysters 🤪🥵😏😂. I'm just playing, y'all. Lmao, offal is the organ parts of the animal. It's fascinating how other cuisines use 100 percent of an animal carcass. It's all edible stop being picky and jump out of those comfort zones because aside from taste, texture is the only thing you should actually be afraid of 😂.
-Branching back to gardening, there will be a new focus in my garden, and it will be culinary herbs. One of my food challenges will be to grow herbs that I will use to flavor a dish. I want to try to do some time lapses of them growing; I'd basically just take a picture of the plants every day until they reach a certain number of days. I want the reader to experience my specific process to grow my backyard to table bounty!
-Will grow, basil, cilantro, sage, collard greens, potatoes, a lettuce variety, San Marzano tomatoes, and spinach. Final list is tentative on what seeds I actually have left.
-New visuals for the cookbook will be decided. I have 3 versions made so far; version 4 will be teased the first week in September.
-Expect Cookbook behind the scenes content on all my social media platforms
-Memoir excerpts will be posted starting in November since that's the other project I am actively working on
-Video Content is coming to the website. It will be republished teasers from my TikTok and YouTube pages there's also an exclusive to YouTube only Channel Teaser up for available my handle on YouTube is @chef_aleexx that is also the handle to my instagram as well!

Conclusion
If you are still here, you are the person that gives me the motivation to keep this going. It's tough balancing so many different projects simultaneously and then figuring out a viable plan to execute and deliver.
At the end of the day, my name is on it, so it has to be good...
What I'm doing is inspiring people through storytelling. Real stories and authentic information that just might also encourage other people to do the same thing.

Alex Fernandez, five years ago, didn't have the confidence to function at the level I'm in now. I've changed. The world has changed, and sometimes, I'd like to think people have changed.
But sometimes, you can't always find it in your heart to forgive and forget. It's about wanting to silence that negative voice within myself by being a light in the dark for others. Dare I even say this? I don't want to be 'viral' or some internet sensation that's a hot sizzle in the pan-feining for their next hit of relevancy...
I simply want to be me and show the world what I am a capable of, as I did at the Luxury Resort, where I honed my skills and ability. I want to sleep at night and have my body ache because I'm breaking my back to make ME wealthy or more financially stable, not an owner of a big company or corporation. It's that level of independence and dedication that formulate the fundamental backbones of the start of the pursuit of the 'American Dream' we all hope to achieve someday.
